David is appearing in a concert ” An Evening of Champions ” on Saturday 12th November at Holy Trinity Church, Dobcross, Saddleworth. The line up includes:
The Cottontown Chorus –The 50-strong reigning British Champion Barbershop Chorus’s great sense of fun and their unique style of vocal entertainment has gripped audiences for over 30 years
The Northern Brass Collective —Brass quintet formed by members of Brighouse & Rastrick, the National British Brass Band Champions
Absolution Saxophone Quartet —Award winning young ensemble, formed at the Royal Northern College of Music in 2006. The group are winners of the 2009 & 2010 Trevor Wye Memorial Prize & the RNCM Chamber Music Prize earning them the title ‘RNCM Ensemble of the Year 2009’.
Demand for tickets is expected to be high, so please best to book early. Civic Hall, Bingley, Yorks, 12th June
David appeared as guest soloist accompanied by the Slaithwaite Band and was warmly received by the good crowd there.

Embassy Theatre Skegness, Lincs, 28th April
David performed with his backing tracks as guest soloist at the Adult and Family Ministries Salvation Army Rally and was a big hit with the large audience. Pieces like ” Count Your Blessings “, ” I’ll Walk Beside You ” and ” Sunshine of Your Smile ” brought warm applause from the appreciative crowd.
“An Evening with the World Champion Whistler”, 21st May
David held ” An Evening with the World Champion Whistler ” in the function room of his local pub which was packed to capacity! Performing to backing tracks and filling in with his unique style of humour made for a great night’s entertainment.
St Julie’s Church, Eccleston, St Helens 18th June
David appeared as guest soloist in a concert featuring the St Helens Youth Band .
The band accompanied David in ” The Londonderry Air ” and for the remainder of his performance he played to backing tracks. “The full audience really enjoyed the concert and I thought the Band were terrific ” said David
Councillor Wally Ashcroft of St Helens MBC said to David ” Thank you for a wonderful evening, your performance was amazing ” !
